Coats For Kids

is pleased to be participating in the 2008 Coats For Kids Drive this year.
Coats for Kids will begin in early November. The date for the on-air kickoff is November 3rd. The distribution for the 2008 campaign will take place at the Cleveland Convention Center on December 17th.

We hope to collect 35,000 coats and/or raise $250,000 in the 2008 campaign. The best part is that all of the funds and coats that are collected stay right here in Northeast Ohio!
What is Coats for Kids?
In 1981, WTAM 1100 (then 3WE) discovered that a large number of children were
missing school in the winter because they did not have warm coats. That
November, "Coats for Kids" was founded and the radio station began soliciting
donations of "like new, gently worn" coats and cash donations to purchase new
coats. Since 1981, the campaign has raised more than $3.0 million and given
over 400,000 area youngsters new or "like new" coats.
